The course analyzes Pierre Bourdieu's work and particularly the concept of epistemic reflexivity, a corner-stone of the bourdieusian intellectual enterprise. With this concept Bourdieu refers to the social possibilities of scientific knowledge and in particular of social science. Epistemic reflexivity objectifies the subject of objectivation (the sociologist) and uses the research instruments to understand and control itself and the social world of scientific knowledge.
